Equipment

  • Spoon or Fork
  • 1/2 size - 2" Deep Production Pans
  • Bulk Retherm Cart, Regular Oven, or Tray Service Retherm Cart

Ingredients 

  • 750 ml Basmati Rice
  • 1.5 L Water

Instructions

  • Measure out basmati rice and water to a ratio of 1:2 (rice to water).
  • In a ½ size- 2” deep production pan, combine basmati rice and water.
    Place pan in Multigen for 55 minutes.
  • Remove from Multigen and uncover, fluff rice with a fork before service.
    Serve Hot.
  • Bulk: Portion into service dishes or leave in bulk for dining room service.
    Cold Plating: allow to cool and plate alone or as a side dish. Place on the hot side of the tray prior to service.
  • Garnish: Freshly chopped herbs or a sprinkle of colourful spices like curry
    Food Accompany: Moist protein (entrée) dishes
